How many hours should a TCM spend on site
The attendance hours for a TCM depends on the type of site and whether you are a new operator. In general , new facilities will require 20% attendance of the operating hours , however this should be reviewed after 6 months and attendance agreed with the Environment Agency. This is general guidance but more information can be found within the Environment Agency guidance document Legal Operator and Competence Requirements.
Can I change my TCM?
ButtonYou can change your Technically Competent Manager (TCM) so long as they hold the required qualification to cover your sites actitivies.
You should also notify the Environment Agency of the change and provide relevant information and proof of technical competence.
What is a TCM?
